In 2023, we made a pledge to eliminate single-use plastics from our hotel. This entailed a comprehensive assessment of our amenities and the implementation of sustainable alternatives, taking a bold step towards a plastic-free environment. Continuing this initiative, we've made substantial strides towards establishing a plastic-free environment by ceasing the use of single-use dry amenities, we've eliminated items such as toothbrushes, combs, shower caps, Slippers from the room significantly reducing our environmental impact. Instead, guests can conveniently request dry amenities through room service or by reaching out to our hospitable team at reception.

Large Amenities

Continuing our commitment to sustainability, we've made a proactive choice to transition to large-format amenities in our hotel. This means replacing our single-use plastic common amenities with eco-friendly pump dispensers. Our Appelles amenities are now available in convenient, eco-friendly pump dispensers, offering our guests the luxurious experience they expect while reducing environmental impact. By eliminating single-use plastic bottles, we're significantly decreasing waste in our operations. This decision reflects our dedication to environmental stewardship and our ongoing efforts to enhance sustainability throughout our hotel, while continuing to deliver the utmost in luxury and comfort.

Recycling

At The Cullen, we're dedicated to responsible waste management practices, ensuring that all hotel waste is sorted into co-mingled, cardboard, and general waste categories to minimize our impact on landfills. Moreover, we're actively pursuing initiatives to conserve water and transition to a circular system.

At The Cullen, we prioritise the comfort and accessibility of all our guests, including those with mobility challenges. The Cullen is equipped with features designed to facilitate easy navigation and a comfortable stay for individuals using mobility aids. This includes fully accessible floors and facilities accessible via lifts, as well as wide doorways and corridors throughout the property to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. For added convenience, a ramp is available on the ground floor to provide accessible access to our facilities. We offer one studio room with comprehensive accessible features to cater specifically to guests with mobility needs. For convenient access, our car park provides a designated accessible parking space located adjacent to the lifts, we have designated accessible bathrooms on the ground floor and level 6, strategically located near our conference room and gym facilities. Upon request, our attentive staff can provide additional amenities such as bathmats and shower chairs to further enhance the comfort and convenience of our guests. Furthermore, we maintain detailed records of guests who may require special assistance during emergencies through our Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (P.E.E.P) procedure. We are committed to ensuring that every guest's stay at The Cullen is both enjoyable and accommodating, reflecting our dedication to inclusivity and exceptional hospitality.
